The legend says that the monastery of the Holy Trinity, named Citluk after the place, is about 400 years old and that it is among the oldest Orthodox religious monuments in this part of Podrinje. Data from 1878 testify that there was a church at that time. In 1966, the locals and the parish priest built a new one on the foundations of the old church. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity.
A charter was found in the foundations, which confirms that the church existed in 1816. The iconostasis is considered to be over 100 years old. Although it is damaged, there are a lot of preserved elements. The gate at the entrance to the church dates from that period. Having blessed the beginning, the Bishop of Sabac-Valjevo, Jovan Velimirović, seeing this place, left a blessing to the successor, the Bishop of Sabac, Lavrentije, to build a monastery there. The new bell tower was built in 1995, and the construction of the lodgings began in 1999. Since 1999, monasteries have been settled in the monastery.
In this monastery there is a copy of the icon of the Mother of God of Tikhvin. This miraculous icon of the Most Holy Mother of God is celebrated on June 26 / July 9 and is called upon to help preserve the health of children. An icon of the Mother of God was painted on the northern pillar of the old church from 1878. Rain and bad weather damaged the church the most on the north side. The paint from the icon spilled due to the leaking roof and the icon was falling apart. The priest, Father Kozlov, who came from Russia after the persecution of monks, during the October Revolution, wanted to paint the icon to make the church look more beautiful. When he crossed the church, the same night the Most Holy Mother of God called him and told him that he should not have done that. The next day he tried to correct the mistake, but without success. That night, it was revealed to him that he would experience some discomfort. Shortly afterwards, his son Oleg fell ill and died. As a sign of repentance, Father Kozlov brought a copy of the icon of the Mother of God of Tikhvin from Russia, which is still in the monastery on the same pillar. Before this icon, people who are pious and have strong faith, have experienced many healings and miracles.
